ISANA, a highly maneuverable research boat is owned and operated by CMES and designed to conduct oceanographic work Seto Inland Sea.
The boat length, volume, capacity is 17.5m, 14ton, 32persons, respectively. Twin Diesel-engines drive couple of screws, the boat maximum speed reaches 27knot/h. It is equipped with 14 mm and 200m polyester rope winch, A-frame, echo-integrator, bow thruster, ADCP, EPIRB.

Isana has a 2.5L 10-Niskin bottle rosette sampler with the multiple CTD sensor (conductivity, temperature, depth, chlorophyll a and turbidity). The rapid operations of the sea water sampling and the water structure profiling are able to do using this system.

ROV is a remote control underwater vehicle that captures not only the optical image but also the acoustic image using the 2D imaging sonar (Blue View Inc. P900-90) under the low transparency conditions, and it can take the underwater samples such as the seaweed using the manipulator.
