Center for Marine Environmental Studies (CMES), Ehime University has set a Joint Usage Research Center, LaMer approved by MEXT, JAPAN, aiming for progress of chemical pollution and marine environmental research fields, especially in Asian countries, and for academic and social contributions in this region.
Our goals are, forming the core academic base of environmental research fields, organizing joint usage of research facilities and equipment, establishing international collaborations in our research fields, enhancing the resident’s ecological consciousness, strengthening linkages with local government’s research institutions.
We also play an important role to encourage young scientists in the environmental research fields.
